Implement the library act in Manipur
The Editorial column of Naharolgi Thoudang of 3rd May 2012 highlighted the importance of Library in a society and urged Government of Manipur to implement the Library act in Manipur to bring a new culture for reading and writing habit among the youths of Manipur to bring peace and developed society.

New hope for Manipur Library Act 1988
Shri L. Ibomcha Singh ,MLA , Chairman Public Account Committee has promised to discuss the ill fated Manipur Public Library Act 1988 in the forthcomming Manipur Assembly session to implement in the Manipur State for the development of Public Library. This was stated by Shri Singh in a closing function of Centenary celebration of Mayengbam Anandmohan organised by Manipur Library Association (MALA) at Manipur Press Club Imphal on 30th April 2012.
Similarly ,Honourable MLA A/C Langthabal ,Shri Karam Shyam Singh also promised to take up matter with Chief Minister to implement act without delay . This was stated by Shri Singh in the felicitation programme of K. Shyam Singh Life Member of MALA on his success in the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly on 22nd April 2012 at State Central Library Imphal.
